Q&A: Q: What is FSA and HSA? A: Flexible spending accounts (FSAs) and health savings accounts (HSAs) work like personal savings accounts. However, the funds in the account can only go toward qualifying medical expenses. An employee who has an FSA or HSA contributes pre-tax dollars to their account, lowering their taxable income.
Q: Does any massage qualify for my Medical spending account or Insurance reimbursment? A: Only a Therapeutic Style Massage Qualifies. Unfortunately couples massage, cupping, thai and hot stone massages are not covered and will be kicked back to your account unpaid or will not be reimbursed.
Q: Can I use a discount for these Massages? A: Unfortunately since this is covered under Medical Expenses we must charge the same price for Massage to everyone. Q: Can I do reflexology? A: Unfortunately, Reflexology just hasn't gained enough traction to be covered yet.
(We are fighting for Insurance Companies to Provide Basic Coverage for Massage and Reflexology but your insurance company needs to hear from you. Call and keep pushing for Massage Coverage!)
